Fashion Week....Eeek!

Front row at the show....what shall I wear? As long as it's vintage I really don't care!

For my love of the hunt....and the find, L.

Woo Me...

Pink and ink...the color combo for which I am currently trending. As seen from the workings of Jason Wu, Celine, and the magicians of YSL. This is such a fresh pallete compared to it's french poodle pink, black and white evil stepsister from the 50's. Jackie O's famous strawberry pink and navy trimmed Chanel suit was described as, "one of the iconic items of fashion of the 1960s" (Brawley). For the menswear inspired like myself, girlish pink is too soft, but mixed with a dark navy structured something, a strong brass or pewter statement jewel, and a fierce black bootie, the result is rocker feminity at its finest. How do you wear this trend without looking like cotton candy? Subtly ad it into your wardrobe with an amazing dark ink or white blazer (a staple in every closet) and pairing with an electic pink blouse or cami worn with inky denim or a crisp white pant. Step outside the box with a pink turbin wrap and a structured white boxy tunic, leather skinnies and a super chunky chanel-like chain necklace. Coco might not have worn pink, but mix a blazer in the trendy hue with her fisherman stripes and a flowy white pant to channel her iconic tee. Think pink with your jewels. Woo them all in a flourishing Jason Wu inspired navy, black and white floral frock by adding a pink multi strand or ear bauble...as big as your lobe I might ad! Pink doesn't stink when mixed with ink.

For my love of punky pink, L.

Here are a few of my fave must haves to execute the trend:

Tour Des Piazza...

Piazza Sempione that is! Their 60's revival spin on spring florals and the oh so now crisp, white palette is petal perfection. Incorporate this look into your wardrobe by adding a watercolor, floral dress or blouse to white jeans, a black leather motorcycle jacket and nude booties. Don a vintage 60's polyester floral frock to layer with black tights and booties and wear it bare with nude pumps for spring/summer! Too afraid to wear floral? Wrap the citrus and black combo to your neck, wrist, ears...you get the idea...with a fabulous jewel or two or ten from...Maes (of course)! Lean toward piazza this spring...you will bloom.

For my love of a fresh, spring floral, L.
