what's in a name...

When I fell in love with the industry years ago, I also fell in love with Karl. I look to him and his execution of classics with an edge in everything I do. His following of coco chanel's classic, ballet slipper footsteps makes everything he touches turn to tweed, quilt and gold chain...three words that define his fashion empire! When one thinks of the classics, one always thinks of black and white. Give a lady a white tie blouse, black blazer, a tiny bit of texture and let's not forget our jewelry and she is ready to take on the globe! Read between the lines and add a stripe, my personal fave, to a classic piece to give it the karl, chanel edge without donning the fingerless gloves loves!

mother blogger...

After digging in my heels for years, I have finally decided to share my blog with the fashion and vintage jewel obsessed. I have been and am very stubborn in this matter and did NOT want to become yet another fashion/stylist/mother blogger as there is an ever growing number of us out there; Alas, I have come to the conclusion that I have dabbled in a bit of everything fashion for half a decade and might as well put my ideas in print. I once read, "Not everyone should have a blog!" This statement is ever so true, but when I am not knee deep in visuals at my love, Mae's for the moment...I must free my mind of all things fashion. Enjoy loves...

falling for fashions...

Can I just say obsessed!! The artistry of mixing prints is so amazing...and understatedly chic when paired correctly. I absolutely LOVE the vintage vixen feel of the leopard and dot together. Tossing in the tweed gives it this amazing 50's mad men vibe...in which i am also terribly obsessed! One can easily achieve this look by dabbling in a little vintage. Be it a dotted bed jacket or a vintage pencil skirt, there's always a way to incorporate vintage into an ensemble and stay current. Remember, a little vintage goes a long way! Long live leopard, the forever staple for every fall wardrobe!

circle circle dot dot!

I will forever fall for a dotted something! The sheer dots and chunkiness of the sweater is absolute perfection. What better way to fall back than with your favorite whispy dress and sweater and oxford flats. Oh dolce, you've done it again!
